1918:
At Poona for the Maharaja, WON Epsom Plate, Trial S., Aga Khan's Cup; the Maharaja then passed away and DL was sold again.
At Calcutta for Mr. Galstaun, WON Wellesley Plate, King Emperor's Cup, Viceroy's Cup (broke down)
1919: Unplaced (4th) in the King Emperor's Cup on 20 December when wearing bandages on all four legs and broke down again. Sold to Baron Baeyens and sent back to GB.
Arrived at the entrance to the Thames on 28 February 1920, but due to port congestion he had to remain in his stall on the ship for another 3 weeks, meaning he was on there for a total of about 8 weeks. Went to Major Beatty at Newmarket to be pointed to the Cambridgeshire, but couldn't stand training and was sent to France to stand stud in 1921. Pictured at Haras de Cheffreville in 1925.
