and of 3) Nancy Dawson, the dam of Tayloe's Mendoza, the sire of Wild Medley, the sire of Ophelia, 4th dam of the great racehorse and outstanding sire Hanover (winner of 32 of 50 starts including a run of 17 consecutive wins, his victories including 1887 Belmont, Brooklyn Derby [Dwyer Stakes], Champion Stakes, Leading Sire in North America 1895, 1896, 1897, 1898)
