As always looking forward to the annual yearling sale at Northlands Agricom on Sunday, September 16th, 2012. Disappointed however that there are only 81 yearlings for sale, seems each year it is less and less but this number is pretty bad, especially considering there will be many RNA and buy-backs from the major breeders who are running their horses through the sale simply to qualify for the sales stakes - happens every year.

A number of the people who used to be large consignors, didn't breed any mares this year from what I've heard. You can expect the sale to be much smaller in years to come.
