He was an impressive individual and I know several "less well funded" groups were after him and thought they could get him for less than 200k but when they big guys got involved they were out of luck. With the focus on that guy a couple really nice horses were stolen. Pletcher got a Tiznow that shou...

The ones I saw in person at the sale looked very athletic and the prep people had great things to say about them. A few of them had some really crooked front ends though.

I work here on VT campus and I am a VT grad. The campus is all but deserted of students. Most faculty and staff are still here but the main campus is empty. It really doesn't seem real.

Hismajestyscolors has a decent temperment. Someone was very rough with him on the track so he anticipates being yanked on and smacked around. If you are quiet with him he is a sweetheart to deal with but if you get physical with him he gets physical back. I move him from stall to pasture with just a...

Our stallion has him 6 back on the bottom but he has relatively old lines that are more popular for sport horses. No Norther Dancer, No Native Dancer, No RAN, No Mr.P.
Heres his pedigree-

I have 10 ft wide aisles and would love to have them wider. I can pull a hay wagon in but it is really tight. When I do another barn I will definitely make the aisles wider. Also when they are wider prevents biting over the doors while in cross ties.

question about collecting your own plasma and colostrum

Does anyone here collect and process their own plasma and/or colostrum? What quality controls do your use? What filtration system? Do geldings need to be blood typed for plasma donation? What were your costs associated with the procedures? Thanks for any help.

I second the drop nose band. My gelding also 5yr likes to play with the bit and throw his head up at times. With the nose band he pays closer attention.

I have the joy (I was volunteered) of halter breaking 60+ this winter. Weanlings to 5yr olds. Draft horses to Shetland ponies to mammoth donkeys. For the big horses (1800 lbs+) I love my round pen. For the little guys and weanlings I love the butt rope affect. You would be amazed, with their low cen...

He served 191 mares last year. Maybe the private fee will make them feel special instead of just a number.
