For what it's worth: I regularly read many forums similar to this one; this forum is where I continue to find the most intelligent conversation. We're all here to express and discuss opinions; I fear that more vigilant moderation will get in the way. My vote is for the board moderation to continue a...

If I had to bet on the sale, I would say Shepardsville KY. They have a weekly sale, lots of them are sold there and taken south over the border. I am sorry I can't remember the name of the sale barn or who runs it but lady a couple miles from me buys and sells there a lot. Tons of kill horses due t...

Start with 36k horses. Add 36k horses every year for the next 8 years (remember, you can't immediately subtract 9k because they aren't killing 9k yearlings every year. You have to wait until the oldest horse at the slaughter to begin subtracting the 9k). In year 9 and every subsequent year, add 36k...

Gastrogard and Calcium Absorption
The girlfriend, who is currently in vet school, has mentioned to me that initial research suggests that the active ingredient in Gastrogard prevents calcium absorption in equines.

I assume that you're looking for a bigger version of the one linked in the database, which I can't help with. But, on the off chance that you're not familiar with how to grab the small version, it's here:

Who is this Belmont 2YO?
I'm looking for help identifying this guy. Supposedly the groom told someone his name is "Terminator", but the youngest Terminator that the Jockey Club knows is a 1996 model. He was schooling in the paddock at Belmont on Sunday. Very feisty and very impressively built. Edit: Thanks to Deborah Kral, ...

The scene in the paddock was humorous as well - as soon as she got on, he decided that he wasn't going to be moving. The groom was yanking on him, Sutherland was doing her part, Alligator Mean was just hanging out. She eventually dismounted, at which point he was okay with being led out to the track...
