Hi Tomfool,
Southern Halo and Buckpasser have teamed up in the pedigree of Halo Homewrecker (second dam by Buckaroo) and also very successfully in Argentino with 7 stakes winners bred on a Southern Halo/Logical (by Buckpasser) nick.

Ludisia broody potential
Hi Brook, Have just had a look at Ludisia and very much like what I see. She has VERY STRONG lines of the Bend Or/Macaroni cross in her background through Dance Numbers and 3/4 Polish Numbers, Buckpasser, Bull Dog, Sir Gallahad, La Trioenne etc. This is a great stuff for potential broodmare material...

Same female line
A raher topical example of a horse with sire and dam tracing to same female family is The Green Monkey whose sire, Forestry, traces TF to Frizette as does his dam Magical Masquerade.

A Question on Broodmare data
Really interesting topic, guys and cannot resist having my say... Regarding whether sprinter-milers etc make better sires seems a moot point really. The stats are already out there on all stallions with progeny on the track to tell us whether stallion, X, Y or Z is a stud success and what mares he n...

Hello Bettina, Gunsynd is undoubtedly a legend of the Australian turf, but he was not much of a sire. His greatest achievement in the breeding barn was as dam sire of one of Australias greatest ever race mares, Emancipation, winner of 19 races, 6 at G1 level. When one considers Emancipation was by B...

Hello Lazyfranch, This mare is definitely worth breeding with....her dam line is just waiting for someone who understands who she is to do something with her.... Court Dress is a very influential example of the Galopin/Hampton cross which is based on Queen Mary, (4x5x5x6) Del Mar says To Market, TF ...

Has anybody else noticed that everyones similar experiences have been with FILLIES. I had one aswell, measured with a large heart score, went into work and sulked the whole time, changed trainers, fiddled with her routine, feed, water, gear etc., She also resented the whip but also had no experience...

Hello Onalimb, Some time ago, I placed a gelding with a trainer, who mistreated him. Gelding arrived home with nose covered in 'warts' (small white bumps), a lung infection, under weight and very jumpy. After a few months of TLC 'warts' disappeared on their own. What state is the horse in question i...
