Hi Winds, You are welcome. Sorry about the typo on the earlier post. I am blessed that my stallion is such as easy handle with a good mine. There are just not to many stud handlers that I know of that are woman and if my boy was not good, I would not handle him myself. About you as a trainer....you ...

I have a 3rd generation Blushing Groom Stallion with several Chef de race sires in his pedigree. I am a Virginia Breeder and my stallion is Incentive enrolled for Va. breds. Virginia breds can qualify for the extra purse money in the Mid-Atlantic. I am able to offer FREE breedings to quality mares f...

Thank you Madelyn and Griff, I think you both have given me really good suggestions. It is nice to have other opinions I feel like. I am in Gloucester. Va. and WV or PA are not far to travel. Even KY would be okay as I have considered moving there. Land is more affordable and I have been looking for...

My test foal....worthy or not?

After years of studying and gathering stock, this is finally my first test foal for my stallion, who is just okay. Hypomating has not been done on this breeding, finally understand dosage. Could someone offer insight on whether or not this foal will have potential at sale or the racetrack? Sire = Ma...

Madelyn, I really appreciate your advice and love the choice from what you said. I am looking at stallions and will absolutely check out Osidy further. Which farm in Ky does he stand? Also, yes Lucy is four and still sound, thank goodness! She was started as a 3 year old, was bred in Kentucky and se...

WOW, you hit the nail on the head....A. Ferris Allen did train Lucy Lovesalot, and afterwards I was warned about his philosphy. I claimed her from his barn and put her with another just like him evidently. She was with Mark Eagan who came out of New England.

The most inquiry/response I get on Magic Ruby is from the Grand Prix Champion Blushing Groom in his pedigree. The Steeplechasers like this family. I do like Rahy out of the family.

Thanks for the information and opinions. Magic's Sire, Jimmy Barnie (GB) was a stakes winner in USA, England and Germany. Only a sire of 7 crops of racing age being a private stud, with 31 foals, 23 starters with 16 winners. Not much to offer there. Sharpen Up is the sire of Pebbles, a millionaire c...

Please analyze Magic Ruby?

Any opinions on the pedigree of Magic Ruby would be greatly appreciated. This boy has great conformation with a good mind, but was injured in an accident out of the gate while racing. Now a private stud in Virginia, I am his horsehelper.....stud handler is just to manly of a term for a woman.[/b]

I meant to ask for an opinion on whether or not I should continue to race Lucy Lovesalot. She has not been developed to break her maiden so that she would be worth more as a broodmare. I put her with the wrong trainer at the recent Colonial Downs meet and she was overtrained staying body sore. Robax...

Thank you for the reply, Country Only is a Handsome, Majestic looking Stallion. I do like his pedigree for my Lucy. Would you please post his 2008 fee or privately email me his fee? I have been offered foal sharing, yet unsure if this is safe. Thanks for your time.

I am interested in conformation, pedigree and a sound mind as well. I have bred only one purebred from my stallion at this point and this foal has shown unbelievable prospect as a weanling, but still would wonder about possibilities for Lucy Lovesalot. Thanks again for any advice.
