Re: PM
Thanks, Tiz. I will do that. Just on an antedotal level, it seems like they have a lot of breakdowns up there. I will trust that you meant "anecdotal" :) Hope against hope that life continues well for Always Gold the eldest foal of our "big mare", Always Pleasing. He was supposed to run today, his ...

our broodie I B Paranoide is a flaxen maned sabino. http://www.irishhuntersandjumpers.com/Lacey.html The filly foal in these photos shed out to be a wildly roaned and speckled-spotted girl - and her mane has shed out to creamy silver, her tail is just flaxen. Quite the fancy baby girl. the mare's pe...

Well, that's sad to hear, but thanks very much for letting me know. The photo on his PQ page looks like he was having a pretty good life, it's "dated" 2007. He was a sweetheart of a stallion when I met him a dozen years ago - that was when he was still standing at Leckbee Thoroughbreds in Onalaska W...
Adbass?
Just saw that some kind soul had posted a rather lovely picture of the old boy on his link in PQ - still looking pretty doggone good at 22 years young. I know he came over here from England - but thought that he was also either English or Irish bred - how can I find that out for certain? Can anybody...

La Lorgnette
I have scoured the 'net, cannot seem to find a photo of this mare anyplace! You would think, as she was Champion Filly in Canada in 1985, that there would be one image, someplace, but I am striking out. Can anyone here point me to a photo of her? One of our lovely mares is a granddaughter - just pie...

Black Gold......... that horse's story introduced me to the incredible heart of a Thoroughbred. Oh, and Panzarita. More pure heart. And, I bawled like a baby when Ruffian went down. and..... had that horrible premonition when I saw Eight Bells in her pre-race workout video. It was just too eerie a r...

God, that is so sad.... Those infernal floods had such widespread effect - right out to throwing cold water literally on the Winter Mixed sale, where a couple of yearlings were simply left - abandoned - after they didn't sell. Condolences to the Walts, that's got to be awful. Jennywho, I'm AdAblurr ...

FWIW, the only Prince John linebred horses I have seen with feet or leg issues were the BIG hunter types - too much horse over too little foot - usually exacerbated (or possibly created!) by fashionable farriery.... If they had been allowed to grow two years barefoot, I'm betting the horses would ha...

Looks like a filly of hers sold through the WTBA 2004 summer sale - hip 62, and a colt in 2002. I'm not finding anything on her directly, immediately, but could swear I've seen her in a sale sometime in the past several years.... possibly I'm just remembering the name on her get, though. http://www....
