Would like to see Curlin skip the Woodward and run in this since it's 3yo and up.

I'm a bit disappointed Pyro is going to the Haskell. Could he be dodging? All in all, looks like a good field will shape up. Mint Lane is definately a good horse, I would like to see him in the Haskell. I used Mint Lane to gauge how good Casion Drive was. Icabad barely prevailed on Mint Lane while C...

Answered my own question:

"Other Steve Asmussen-trained horses on the work tab included Pyro, who is being pointed for the Jim Dandy Stakes (gr. II) July 27, and Z Fortune, who will make his next start in the West Virginia Derby (gr. III) Aug. 2."

Pyro?

Heard he was going to the Haskell.. but I see the reports on bloodhorse and BigBrown, CoolCoalMan top the list. No mention of Pyro. Was looking forward to seeing a Pyro/BB matchup. Anyone know what the deal is with Pyro?

I visited Cigar a while back, 3 years ago.. he was such a grumpy old man!! I have a gelding out of Palace Music and my horse looks so much like Cigar.. which isn't really saying much, both skinny!

I was grazing, hanging on by the lead and she was in season and was acting up. She bucked when I wasn't paying attention and kicked me right in the leg. I think she realize what happened and usually I have to pull/tug you name it to get this horse to do anything.. after the kick she quietly followed...

I like Tiago but sometimes he can be a plodder. For the Breeders Cup at Monmouth I was at the railing as they brought everyone to the track and he looked like he was sleeping. Guess sometimes he feels like running and other times he don't. But.. got a great picture of AGS going up on his hind legs t...

Re: re

Choke, Why is this upsetting? Heatseeker never did enough to be a hero, or to help racing much. Better to let him go be another questionable stallion and look for exciting two and three year olds that can capture some attention. Because he is one of the top older horses this year. Clearly the best ...

Another blow to racing... Heatseeker retired

This is rather upsetting.. another top older horse being retired. I'm sure they could have brought him back but I guess bringing him to stud was too tempting...

At least we have Curlin to look forward to....

I could be wrong here, but I don't think Beyer speed figs account for ground loss. Big Brown breaking from post 20 taking a wide trip and still earned a high Beyer.
