I would concur with the above, however, if my recollection serves me correctly, during my inspection of him last April, I noted that he toed-out in his right and was slightly off-set in that knee. Further, I was advised by one Eurpoean breeder who had sent mares to him that his foals had tendency to...

Pete, I definitely agree that the numbers do raise a flag of concern as it relates to the potency of his sperm, especially when compared to the average. However, skepticism includes looking beyond the numbers for other possible explanations and plausible reasons -- As Mark Twain once said, "There ar...

I would like to give an opinion based upon my experiences with Shadwell and Dayjur. With regard to the remark that one "should count their change" when dealing with Shadwell, my personal experience with the farm has been far from such an innuendo. The people at Nashwan Stud have always been very fai...

Louis
Thank you Louis, we appreciate you taking the time to do so. We remember the day when Rollie was still a bug and he would exercise our horses and work around one of our trainer's barn. He is such a good kid who is as honest and sincere as a Summer day is long. We are very proud of him. Thanks, J.D.

A Favor of Louis Finochio
Louis, Since you spend a considerable amount of time on the backside of the SoCal tracks, would you please do me a favor? The next time you stop by Jeff Mullins' barn, please pass on a message to his assistant, Rolland Ayers. Tell him that Sherri and I are happy to see him doing so well and are prou...

Marty Wygod's Medication
Whoever took Marty Wygod's medication, please return it immediately. He has been acting very odd the past couple of weeks and has caused great harm to the sport of racing and some of the individuals associated with it. If he keeps up his current pace of bizarre behavior, he may even bring racing to ...

Royal Academy
What seems to be the knock on Royal Academy as a sire? I can't help but think that he is an extremely versatile sire with a track record of producing exceptional progeny and at $17,500 for 2005, seems to be an excellent value.

Linebreeding to Superior Females (Rasmussen Factor?)
Alright folks, give me your thoughts on the following: Linebreeding back to Busanda 5X5 through the half-sibling brother and sister duo of Buckpasser (by Tom Fool) and Finance (by Nasrullah)? Personally, I like the fact that it results in a 7X7 to La Troienne. The resulting mating would also include...

xfactor fan, I was telling my wife last night that I was hoping you would reply since you always seem to understand my ramblings whenever I have a question regarding the X Factor. In terms of Muqtarib, I am unaware of any heart scores on him, but I will contact the farm tomorrow and inquire as to wh...

X-Factor Question
I once bred a filly who's sire and dam were both listed on the database as passing on the X chromosome to their off-spring, i.e. Dayjur and Ubi Star. Recently, I began looking at a sire by the name of Muqtarib. When I run a mating with an X chromosome query on him as the sire and the above-mentioned...
