I went to a stallion show today to look at 2 possible matches for my mare. While I was there a different stallion caught my eye and I felt he was a perfect match for her while the other 2 were not. What does the * mean?
I am fairly new to interpreting pedigrees. I think I have the numbers down, but what is the asterisk for? Does it indicate elite mare? If so, what qualifies a mare as such? And why are some horses names in blue?
