Thanks to Suzy for being blunt about this. Though I was called a "dreamcrusher" and told "Jordan never said he's going to breed this filly, he just wants to know the lineage", the truth is out. A Trakehner, a quarterhorse, or Ex Marks the Cop have all been mentioned as the stallions this filly might...

I've got that catalog too and Pie Rise went through the ring as open with a last service date of 5/13/02. Were the consignors "hiding" the fact she was in foal?? At any rate, looking at the Pie Rise page I have to wonder what the fuss is all about. In 2003, I spent $800 to buy my first mare who was ...

Guys, Jordan got this horse from Abstract's current owner, who has a good history and has been in the business awhile. Glad when I was getting started, I didn't get this sort of advice! Simply put, people didn't register the filly for a reason. Why spend that money if they didn't think she was worth...

the dam was taken to slaughter and the filly was given away...yeah real value there, why breed MORE cheap animals that will end up in a bad way...arggg :x Good point. And just because you can lose your money even with the most logical and thought-out breeding plans, doesn't mean you should breed a ...

Ha ha...Nice little story Linda, let me summarize: breed anything to anything for anything might happen... And why not make her a broodmare? The excessive amount of money to register this filly. That's just one reason why not. I am all about dreams, for I own broodmares and racehorses. I just recomm...

This filly cannot be raced, and should not be bred for racing purposes, so having her registered with the Jockey Club really isn't necessary Now why should she not "be bred for racing purposes....?" Granted, Abstract is a cheap stallion, but his pedigree certainly isn't bad --> By Danzig out of For...

Nope, sorry, you're thinking of someone else. I'm a huge racing fan and extremely anti-slaughter. Obviously you and I disagree to an extent about that. But thank you for seeking a good home for Threefingered Jack. I wish more people would do that. If this list of mares above are the ones that we kn...

(Note: none of the above went to slaughter). Additionally, he once owned a mare named One for the Sea - a mare whose last foal was also bred by Mrs. Ricci Rathka. Wonder where that mare ended up? Yes, I get your point, "magic code". But they didn't actually get slaughtered. And You are also angry i...
