Kent really did a poor job from the very beginning. Big Brown may not have gotten a good break, but then Kent jerked him around trying to get position early. If Big Brown was the horse many people were saying he was his early position shouldn't have been that important. Kent should have just tucked...

If they say he's been steroid free for 2 months (recieving his last injection April 15th)... that should have been enough time for "let-down". If his body was still going through steroid let-down there should have been some sign before the race during the Preakness. So for the sake of argument it wa...

Buy Back clauses won't hold up in court =( That is the reason why I won't accept money. She's being given away under the condition that she is not to be resold (again she could be *given away* to a new home so long as it's known to me and I can just keep tabs on where she is). I guess my only concer...

It would cost me a couple thousand to move her to CA, in addition the area I am moving (San Francisco) has very little quality pasture... and very few barns offer good turn out. I'd have to move her quite a distance from where I would be living so I wouldn't be able to see her often. I wanted to tak...

Mare available

I will get pictures as soon as I can... my apologies for not having them! I am currently located in MA and will be moving to CA and I simply can not bring the mare all that way. Even if I could get her over there I'm living in an area where I just don't feel she'd be happy. Her name is Kathyspersona...

It was a galloping injury-- the vets have said that it was not made any worse by jumping. It was as bad as it was going to get, basically he blew the entire support apparatus in his left front leg. We're talking 20 seconds here-- which seems like an eternity while watching it but it went by a lot mo...

I hope that Northern Raja mare found a good home =D (not that all your horses aren't beautiful). That is a real gem for 1500.00 -- Northern Raja is still on the USEF leading sires list Raja Baba is actually a very influential sire in hunter breeding. So the possibilities are endless for her and she ...

You can wean at 3 months -- that is the suggested minimum weaning age. Though it really is best to let them stay on mom until 4-5 months. Though if it's a life and death issue... do what you have to do. If it's just the graining issues...you can START the weaning process by putting the foal in a cor...

I have a pony that is currently fighting lyme. And a horse that always tests a low positive because she was exposed to it but the infection is currently not active (negative SNAP test). It's very common in horses especially here in the northeast. I'd even venture to say that the majority of the hors...

Reputed Testamony stands in NC and is free from Nearco I believe. Of course, I don't believe he attracts any breeders from the race world.

Oh this is old but...

Some vets are using the dog lyme vaccine on horses but it has *not* been tested. I would not use it on my horses (and I definitely wouldn't suggest a mare in foal recieve the vaccine).

Thats the difference that the TB breeders of today cant remember the way those TB of the past were bred who had soundness plus. Oh, I disagree, I think there were plenty of unsound horses being bred back then-- BUT overall soundness was less affected because the gene pool had not evaporated yet. It...

I have found Bonne Nuit descendants still assumed alive-- but their owners are hard to contact.

A few Bonne Nuit mares and a stallion went through a public auction in 2002 in Illinois-- They might still be in the midwest region? I have no idea if they went to breeding homes.

Is it true that Forli was known to throw offspring afflicted with Wobblers?
