As a market breeder sometimes the best thing to do is breed to an unproven sire with a "proven" mare. It isn't wise to breed an unproven mare ...

Thanks, thats more like it. The Benchmark colt will go into the select sale. Her first foal died at two, and the other AOF is in training.

Don't believe in sending mares out of state with foals. Also believe in supporting California sires. It's hard enough having all the problems in this state with mares coming back malnurished and sick or injured foals. Thank you, specifically any Cal. Sires that would be a good fit for her?

She was bred to Cee's Tizzy this year. Best one I could think of for her based on pedigree. Hopefully she can produce a graded stakes winner like her dam and siblings :D

In a nut shell

Can anyone explain why breeders of yesterday were much more successful in their breeding program than today. So very few farms and breeders back then yet they were more consistant than any farm today.
