What is the general feeling among state residents and others in the industry about Kentucky Downs? I just see it on TV, but I think "what a GREAT-looking track!" Andy Beyer wrote a pretty blistering review of his antics a few years(?) ago when he was forced to have all of his horses in a detention barn....and he hardly won a thing during that time frame. I think fans would like to see more serious penalties for violations rather than merely having assistants...

It is very sad to see a track like Colonial Downs, which is very new (opened September 1, 1997) and judging from what I see on television a very attractive race track, for sale. I would place at about 25 the 1935 Triple Crown winner Omaha. He not only won the Triple Crown, but at age 4 was shipped to England where he won a few races and also ran second in the prestigious Ascot Cup and the Prince of Wales Stakes.
