I bred to him and have a fair grasp of his story. He was supported his first year by some so so mares mostly from one owner. His next year he didnt get much backing. He hit on She Be Wild and some other nice two year olds on the first crop and got some decent backing that breeding season. Economic D...

if you have any idea of how the dam/sire developed that may shed some light, or previous foals from this mare

never forget watching early workouts and seeing a heart attack at the finish line. Sobering sight, the track response crew was amazing though the alarm went off and they were there in less than 2 minutes

He made my list when I was selecting a sire. It comes down to that he rates a touch below others in his fee range; in regard to foal marketability and/or racing prospect. Unless your dead set on a Rahy line sire or your getting a complimentry season your probably going elsewhere. You can get a small...

I have a mare that is a 2-o family. From what Ive found the sires that pop off of this line do tend to have more influence through their daughters. Some classic examples are Peter Pan, The Tetrarch and subsquent daughter Mumtaz Mahal and so on to Mah Mahal, Mumtaz Begum that resulted in Mahmoud and ...

speaking of War Front and his low starting fee, how much does it go up in 2012? Obviousely how his 3yo's do the rest of the way will play a big part. Right now from the way breeders are salivating over him they could get 30k all day and if he gets a derby or BC win I could see it at 50k plus.

Im not sure with his case, but it could of been any number of things. Its alot more physical than people generally think, for 5-6 months a year.

At any rate he has definetely stamped his name as a great influence on the breed, happy trails A.P. !

Once I started calling the KY farms it was a no brainer, the deals they are offering are far superior to the $1k off the pa farms are doing. Not to mention the quality of sires isnt in question. Some are running 50/50 breeding rights if you foal and cert in states like PA, for large reductions on fe...

Thanks for the advice, Im not looking to breed a PA sire for auction only to race. My mare is in foal to a KY stallion now and I will be taking that one to auction, and if I breed her back to PA sire the KY foal will gain PA cert. I really like the partnership idea and think I have enough time and s...

I remember looking at Animal Kingdom when (west point if remember correctly) was offering shares in him as a yearling and wishing I had the money to buy some. Think they knew from an early age he had potential to be special. Havent seen his dosage but with a german mare I would imagine he could run ...

That is a shame about Partners Hero, for whatever reason people werent using him as much. Im sure he will end up somewhere like Indiana where he will get utilized more. Only so many mares to go around these days, never thought Id say that  Iam pretty sure Toccet is staying busy, I cant even kee...

KB im sorry if I sounded confusing. My mare is in foal now Its a hard one to call because its going to be a late cover and its hard to tell how much a PA cert. will improve the current foals price at auction. The positives are that Im from the region and can race the current foal under the PA progra...

thanks griff, It might sound crazy but I would almost rather send her to Quarry for nothing then spend 2-4k in this market. If I could get Toccet for $1500 maybe $2k I might pull the trigger but Im having a hard time justifing most of the others. I guess Partners Hero is acceptable @ 2k or below. It...
