Are you going to be getting some commercial KY stallions? Any more KY stallions coming on the list from some of the bigger farms?

I have seen him and I can say that I was not impressed by him at all. He does not have much pedigree either but that is just my opinion.

Because it is a bubble year for him and it is harder to get mares to stallions during that time. Look at his #'s on mares bred and you will see that it has gone down considerably. Lowering his fee will entice more mares to him.

First off, I said only two of them were in this post. Secondly, I know for a fact that one of them they like to keep the mares at their farm during their heat so that they can breed them because this stallion has swimmer problems. I worked for a farm where every mare that was bred to him had to stay...

Now they have one that has trouble breeding due to arthritis, one with swimmer problems and one that does not want to do his job. I am not going to mention stallion names but I can tell you that two of those stallions are mentioned in this thread.

Not sure if you noticed but War Chant did not breed as many mares this past breeding season AND his stud fee went down. That should tell you something too.

I hate to tell you but Pentelicus is a stallion so I don't think that can be your mares name.

He's not a bad stallion and gets some hard knocking race horses. He is however getting old and a client of mine booked a couple mares to him last year and ended up transferring to a different stallion because he was unable to breed (due to arthritis) a couple times.

If you are breeding to sell, doubling up on female families will do absolutely nothing for you at the sale. Most buyers no nothing about pedigrees other than what is currently fashionable. I couldn't disagree with you more. Doubling female family lines is looked at. The larger buyers do research pe...
