zito already has the dwyer winner and ice box for the belmont. given the way patti o'furniture :D and super saver ran, the horses that ran on derby day were gassed today. it looks like he made the right decision not running ice box. jackson bend reminds me of a throwback to older type horses that ar...

Here is a story of Ice Boxs trip Runner-up game in Kentucky Derby defeat By Bill Marshall Augusta Chronicle Monday, May 3, 2010 "A closer with little early speed, his running style dictated that Ice Box would need what is termed "racing luck" to pass virtually the entire field and make it to the wir...

congratulations to ICE BOX
i am always amazed in wathcing these races by horses that are determined and keep trying no matter what. This horse ran a very amazing race in my opinion. he was right next to lookin at lucky. the cloud of mud hitting that last flight of horses was ridiculous. how are these animals able to breate an...

MINE THAT BIRD...IS SUNLAND PARK AN ADVANTAGE
IN reading some articles on Mine that Bird one in particular mentioned the obscurity of sunland park. something that stood out is that this location is 4000 feet above sea level. this fact stood out a little. the physician in me says this might offer some advantages physiologically in increasing red...

Dutrow and Contessa must have "issues"
the following is a quote from todays DRF from Dutrow's interview "Dutrow said he would be in favor if veterinarians were barred from the grounds, and said he welcomed a national set of medication rules. In typical Dutrow fashion, though, he bashed many of New York's leading trainers over the years, ...

This is my own personal theory. Big brown will be juiced as much as possible in order to reclaim his Derby form and sweep the travers. This will save some of his plummeting stud fee. Since steroids will be banned in the Breeder's cup there will be no intention of running him there. He will be retir...

BIG BROWN back on Winstrol....YES!
"Dutrow said that unless Big Brown shows signs of a physical problem, the colt will be pointed to the Travers Stakes on Aug. 23 at Saratoga and then the Breeders' Cup Classic in October. He also said that he will resume the horse's regular regimen of Winstrol injections on Sunday, despite claiming B...

Baltimore Sun Rick Maese May 16, 2008 “Dutrow was asked why he uses the drug (Winstrol). "You'd have to ask the vet what the purpose of that is," he said. "I don't know what it does. I just like using it." You like using it, but you don't know what it does? Why would you like using it if you don't k...
