First of all, I think http://boards.4chan.org/sp/ might be a better fit for Whirlaway and his/her rather singular style of posting. Second of all, there's little I can say about this race that has not already been said. Blame ran a great race. Zenyatta ran a great race. It is quite likely, however, ...

Z was fit, Rachel wasn't, Jess Jackson is making the right decision even if some people think it makes him look like an ass. No telling how good she'll be if she can regain/surpass last year's form, but it will take at least that much if she's going to compete with Zenyatta. Good day to you all. *ed...

I think it would be better to to turf one day, dirt (or Turf X2) the next I second this motion. Also, they need to change "Ladies' Classic" back to "Distaff". NOW. Seriously, whose idea was that? They're not "ladies": they're HORSES. Also, does anyone else think that if they're going to hold a race...

So I just checked the Bloodhorse for the first time today and nearly spat milk all over the computer screen.

The circumstances are a little fishy, but...damn. I was really looking forward to a confrontation between Big Brown and Curlin.

All I know is I was jumping up and down, pumping my arms like some insane ghost rider, and screaming things which common decency prevents me from posting on this board. I sincerely thought that Mambo in Seattle had won it. This IS a mediocre crop, but all I care about right now is the fact that COLO...

Say Florida Sandy

To all those who are more knowledgeable about stallions than I am (i.e. most posters on this forum)– What do you guys think of Say Florida Sandy as a stud? I haven't seen any pictures of his babies, but I looked at the pedigrees of a few of them and was intrigued. For example: Personal Worth: out of...

Personal Worth

Personal Worth: 2006 colt, by Say Florida Sandy out of True Worth by Key to the Mint (True Worth: by Key to the Mint out of Worthy of Note by Buckpasser) Every so often I search for horses with speed, stamina, and a potential x-factor in their pedigrees. What do you guys think of Personal Worth? I h...

I think, like most who hope BB doesn't win, it has less to do with the horse and more to do with his connections. They embody everything I dislike about the sport and the direction in which the sport is headed. By winning the TC, it would validate the immoral and short-sighted decisions that is dri...

Surprised he did not have a better career at stud.

It's kind of hard for a stallion to have a good career at stud if he dies at age eight from anaphylactic shock. Other than that, he got some spectacular horses.

"Compare Barbaro’s story to that of Magic Man, who stepped into an uneven section of a track and broke both front legs during a race at Saratoga Race Course. His owner had bought him for $900,000, yet the horse hadn’t earned any money yet and—unproven on the track—wasn’t worth much as a stud, so he ...

Soundest Sires Today

What with the firestorm of negative feelings that erupted over the weekend, I was wondering if someone might be able to make a list of some of the sturdiest stallions who are currently at stud. Not necessarily that they raced a long time, but maybe they have really sound offspring. (Obviously, no on...

http://tcm.bloodhorse.com/viewstory.asp?id=44865  It's a damn good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I saw the headline, it was a real brick-*****ing moment.
