Re: Size of Field and Starts Per Horse: The New Data

This chart has always intrigued me because I have never read a cogent reason as to the why and continuing decline of the starts per horse. I figure in another decade or so, the average starts per horse will be less than four. It seems to me that it's pretty easy to see why the average starts per ho...

In general, I liked it. The only thing I found odd was the redubbing of the racecalls by Trevor Denman. So and so horse with Joe Talamo on the inside with x horse and Aaron Gryder in second, I thought was a bit annoying but I guess they are trying to breath life into each jockey character.. Notice ...

That is what I get for trying to work and post at the same time. I mean the racing commission.

I thought the bill was by far the worst in the industry. Combine that with the aggreement that Magna has to give DeFrancis a giant percentage of the slots proceeds for the first several years makes it more or less an non issue. I agree and the 67% tax rate hurt it from the beginning. I just don't g...

Well truthfully if they sold the MD properties I doubt the Preakness would be part of the deal because most likely they would not be sold to be race tracks anymore. More likely condos and the like. I know Ed Hale already has complete blueprints drawn up for the project he envisions for Pimlico afte...

Magna is already outside of Maryland at several different tracks. I understand but if they sell the MD properties the key to selling them would be the Preakness. I know you are in MD and not trying to be combative just stating my opinion. It's terrible what the state gov't has done or in most cases...

Unless they change their plan to not allow any beverages of any kind brought in to the infield this year, this Preakness will be the last. They take the ONE day of the year that they make any money and ruin it. I don't even drink beer and can see that this is a bad move. I bet attendance drops 50% ...

Laurel would have to make some major upgrades (what else is new?) to its facilities if it would hold the Preakness. Penn National Gaming isn't enthused either about slots in Maryland. After all the stink and fuss, it's basically a flop. Plenty of "I told you so's" going around right now. One co-wor...

Thank you everyone and that was the kind of help I am looking for. Obviously none of this is perfect (looking on paper, etc.) and I am not looking for a Stakes winner exactly but it would be nice. I just want a good cross with a high % to make it to the track and win a race or two. Not asking for mu...

Re: What do you think of this?

Any thoughts on Endeavouring covering Aaron's Protege? I guess I should have left a link for the hypomating. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. http://www.equineline.com/Free-5X-Pedigree.cfm?page_state=ORDER_AND_CONFIRM&sire_reference_number=5617896&dam_reference_number=4403491&...
