Have you tried to use a slinky hood or a liner under his blanket? I have one gelding that will get blanket rubs unless he wears one of those slinky liners. Our guys are having to wear blankets more than last year too. Wish spring would just get here already!

I've noticed that too. It seems that Stormy Atlantic babies look a lot like their sire. There was one named Penn Pacific that had almost the same face and body as his sire. Our Swain colt too, looks more like his sire than his dam. It's an interesting observation though.

Thanks for the response Bay. :) I did not realize her family had a connection to the breeders of Summer Bird. That's pretty cool. I'm picking her up on Friday from her trainer/owner/co-breeder. I will ask him about the name...I'm curious too (it's certainly an odd name). And I will post pics either ...
