I faced this last year. A bred maiden mare was turned out with two mares and foals. The young mare had been with the other two mares before they gave birth so they knew each other. The young mare was completely dominant over the other two mares, before the foals and after. She was not mean or aggres...

I have seen him and he is correct and well mannered. He should bulk up a bit in his new job. I think he is very fairly priced and the Shadwell crew always do everything possible to make sure your mare is well covered.

Jane, the quality of the mares was down. Most will probably head out of the state to regional markets and state breeding programs. Any foals sold out of these mares in KY will certainly drive the sire averages down, which will really impress Keeneland when it comes to placing the other yearlings by ...
