Yehudi

Wow, he really is interesting!
I'm still waiting for the video to load, but the pictures of those few foals were interesting too. He must really pass on that sabino gene.
Too bad he's in Korea.

Woodman

I just saw Woodman listed on the blog post : http://www.behindthebitblog.com/2009/12/meanest-thoroughbred-stallions-ever.html (from Mating Advice/ Halo line... temperament & soundness??? posts) I haven't seen any actual comments about him. Does anyone have any thoughts about/experience with him?...

I believe this is definitely a scam ad

I saw this horse listed as a stallion (same picture that anyone could have) with the name "Pie" (he must have read "National Velvet"). The ad was definitely placed by someone who knows nothing about horses (especially Thoroughbreds). Neither name is in the database. EquineNow should probably be noti...

Jorge,
pedigreequery is now listing Charge d'Affaire's color as gray, and another gray is listed in his progeny list - Assafair (x Assaranxa by Linamix). Is there any way to tell when this pedigree was updated?

Does anyone know the name of this 1700s era horse?

I found a picture of a painting by Stubbs entitled : Lord Grosvenor's Arabian with a groom, c.1765. It is a beautiful chestnut with white - sabino (?) with some white body markings. He is reputed to have had 10 foals between 1766 and 1778. I'll try to include the picture I found in Wikipedia here. h...

Pennylane,
Thank you. I did run into Sir Knights Shadow on another thread and was able to "put it all together" and felt like an idiot.
He is lovely and sounds like he has a wonderful disposition. I'm in Kansas so unfortunately a little too far away for my mare as well.

Who is Pennylane's Shadow and where is he? Does anyone have pictures or a URL? I couldn't find him in the database. Thanks.

Bold Phantom Go

True Colors, Thanks so much. I had no idea. I emailed the owner when I purchased my black mare, but she never replied. I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm in Kansas and it's hard (if not impossible) to find a black stallion near here. Turkancer is the only other one I know of (if anyone knows of any near...

black stallion w/white markings

What about Bold Phantom Go? I know he's been talked about on the site before. He's in Missouri. He does not have a racing pedigree but he is lovely. http://www.pedigreequery.com/bold+phantom+go and here's the page on the owner's site of (some of?) his foals http://whispervalley.homestead.com/BoldPha...

Thank you so much. I just tried to do that (as you can see I'm a newborn and rather new at this). I hope I was successful!

Where is Canadian Kid located now? He's still listed on the Never Say Never Farm site. I contacted them recently but haven't heard back. Thanks.
