For the amount of mares they've sent to him, Indy hasn't quite repaid the Phipps. They get a lot of plodders by him. So when the opportunity arose, they liquidated some of those plodders, Supercharger being one of them. I'm sure it made their decision a lot easier since they retained the best mare ...

Re: Coaching Club American Oaks
Small field but really strong. Baffert has shipped in Plum Pretty. I am leaning towards Royal Delta. The 3 year old filly division seems much deeper than the colts this year. Godolphin and Kieren McLaughlin take G1 CCA with It's Tricky who beat Baffert's Pretty Plum in a stretch battle until I'sT p...

hi Hotwalker...hi guys Blood-Horse has an article in the recent issue that asks trainers about what they think of their horses by Giant's Causeway. The comments generally said they are better with age, are versatile with surfaces, and can be strong willed. Those comments don't seem unreasonable...b...

Some stupid person entered Zenyatta as the DAM of this horse, Eblouissante
on the pedigree site.
Bravo.
Some one corrected the entry to accurate pedigree.

Read the original thread for "laughs" and comments from some allegedly knowledgeable "pedigree pundits! Blew away the field in FOY. Ha! Terrible stallion GC...never get a winner on dirt  For such a "horrible" stallion how did Giant's Causeway manage to rank 3rd in KY, 3 nationally and 1s...

I posted his stats over on another thread, but in case you missed it... Giant's Causeway - 129 sold, avg $185,665, $118,201 median. Stud fee advertised as $200,000, but I think it went to $300,000 for part of the season. Revenue to Ashford for these sold yearlings (if the full stud fee was paid) - ...

I think Godolphin has this problem. They often have "50 promising 2 -year olds". If a horse has alot of potential, but "doesn't do well as one of a crowd" then the horse falls by the way side, and may never reach his potential. Some horses need "individual attention" in their training. I recall read...

I"m not the biggest mike smith fan out there. He's not a bad jockey, but... he's just not calvin. In the sense that he doesn't take the risks calvin does. If MIke is on the best he will get him home. If you are banking on mike to get you home a 8 to 1 shot by outriding the 3/5 shot, you m ight as w...

I see him every day as I drive to the (Fares) training barn, he is always whipping around the paddock, then clocks me as I drive by. The mare is a little slowed down, but not laminitis as someone mentioned, you can see why in the video. As K2 said it's just making things easier on the big mare. He ...

Who called this race again? Totally blew it, MTB was 4-5 lengths clear before he realized what/who just happened. Had me confused, I thought Pioneer of the Nile was drawing off. I don't think Durkin could see that pint sized dynamo flying up the rail. The behemoth, Pioneer of thr Nile blocked every...
