Good Luck i'm glad you decided to give Saarland a shot. Being by Unbridled with his pedigree, race record and the quality of mares he got, he has about as good a chance of any stallion in KY to make it. Only time will tell but i am betting on him making it. I am so happy with my filly (now a yearlin...

I bred to him twice with 2 different mares who are both correct up front. Had 2 fillies, both were crooked one was so crooked she was basically deformed. After 2 surgeries to try to have her live a normal life (forget about racing) she passed on. No Mas Millennium Winds for me!!!!

Only time will tell but i have been experimenting with the RF with my mare who's 3rd dam is Exclusive. Her 1st foal is by Millennium Wind which gets me a 5X5 Good Example. 2nd foal is by Saarland giving me a 5X4 Exclusive. She is in foal now to Prime Timber (a complete outcross). Going to go to Belo...

Saarland has been moved to Darby Dan. On their web site it states they are going to go up from 10k, but right now he's listed as TBA for 06. Probably waiting to see what his in foal mares sell for in November. If Eddington is 20k Saarland should be the same as far as i'm concerned. Much better femal...

What were your thoughts on Saarland when you did get a chance to see him? I bred a mare to him this year (booked real early). I'm in NY and didnt get a chance to get down to KY. I really liked him especially for a particular mare I have who's 3rd dam is Exclusive. Being a G2 placed 2yo by Unbridled ...

Henthorn, I dont have a problem with him lowering his fee (i obviously wish it was going higher) but its the timing i am really annoyed at. Wait until after the breeding season and announce it in the Fall not right smack in the middle of breeding season when he has yearlings in the process of being ...

I highly recommend Sanborn Chase (859) 885-2763. I am in New York and have been sending them my mares for years for the breeding season. Relatively small hands on, excellent care for mare and baby, excellent rates and just a tremendous record of getting mares in foal 1st time. I sent 3 this year and...

I'm not sure about him being a cryptorchid, but i am really pissed at Millennium Farm. I bred a mare to Millennium Wind in '04, she took 1st time, and another mare this season and she also took 1st time. So as far as i'm concerned he's pretty fertile. What i'm pissed at is that they have the nerve t...

I dont disagree he was a bit of a plodder. But being by Unbridled coupled with his tremendous female family makes him a very exciting sire prospect. I sent a mare to him and she was pronounced in-foal 2 weeks ago. From what i understand from Hill N Dale is that he was a bit slow on bookings up until...

Saarland

Has anybody seen Saarland in person? He seems to be a very hot commodity, fully booked since December and his stud fee already doubled to 20k for next season.

I'm sorry i should have posted her name. Retail Choice. I also should note that her 5th sibling 2002 1/2 brother finished 2nd at Belmont last fall as a 2yo in a NY bred MSW. Retail was in training as a 2yo when she got a slab fracture after a breeze at Aqueduct. Very sound for breeding, easy keeper ...
