Back to the subject, I think the difference between a good bet and a bad bet is value. A bad bet might be betting on a trainer that never wins a race when he's got a horse running that's a short price, even if the horse looks OK on paper. The way the horse took the lead in the hal's hope at gulfstream, and then quit out of nowhere in that race made me think that he would never run the same again... more or less he hasn't... I was very luck to have this feeling before the Sunshine Millions classic because I had played mccann's mojave.

RYENO: That is exactly my point of posting. I just don't think the horse was "sound" enough to race anymore and the people who took him for the 10k probably unloaded him for less than that, unless they are the ones standing him at stud. I don't know a lot about the breeding side of the industry but ...
