I am actually open to where they are broke and start training if the price is right because the horse in questi...

I didn't see the race, but I am glad to hear she is back to her old self. I read she went thru a lot trying to diagnois her problem ( before they found she had been sponged )
It is a very scary thought someone would do such cruel things probably just to win purse money.

Back to the subject, I think the difference between a good bet and a bad bet is value. A bad bet might be betting on a trainer that never wins a race when he's got a horse running that's a short price, even if the horse looks OK on paper. If that kind of trainer ever wins a race, why take a short p...

i agree the horse has made 600k plus i believe, yet at this point in his career he probably couldn't beat 50k claimers.

I have not heard Hemingway's Key in a long time either. Should be a good race for him. RuffianT21: Thank you for telling me that scrappy t is running, I used to really like this horse, and his owner is from here in Richmond, VA. I did some checking up on the horse a few months ago because he hadn't ...

The way the horse took the lead in the hal's hope at gulfstream, and then quit out of nowhere in that race made me think that he would never run the same again... more or less he hasn't... I was very luck to have this feeling before the Sunshine Millions classic because I had played mccann's mojave.

RYENO: That is exactly my point of posting. I just don't think the horse was "sound" enough to race anymore and the people who took him for the 10k probably unloaded him for less than that, unless they are the ones standing him at stud. I don't know a lot about the breeding side of the industry but ...
