Academy Award mare

I am posting for a friend. Mare's name is Eve Harrington, she won 125K+ I don't know much about her, she is currently in Mississippi and the state does not offer any breeders awards. Boarding in LA is costly, and foals don't fetch decent prices right now at the sales to cover the mares board. He is ...

Can someone explain where these colors in TB's come from? Is this a genetic trait that gets passed or was there a horse way back who had some color?
Do they get tested for the homozygous gene like paints are tested?

Maybe when she foals and I go see the new baby, I can get something better.

SPRINGORO : Most TB breeders I know don't have broodmares pampered in stalls and they don't look like show horses so I guess I didn't think about the fact that most people on that thread want pretty photos. This mare does not live here, she resides in another state for breeders incentives so I can'...

I did over react, but I feel that even if I have the best horse in the world, I still don't have the right to put down on another persons stock.

Last week I posted a thread called "My husbands mare" on horse grooming supplies. I think criticism is great but SPACELY was really rude and when I stood up to ...

Flush After Breeding?

Does anyone flush clean mares after breeding or like when the vet checks to see if ovulation has happened?

I think she was a 1990. Well they are gonna play w/ those numbers and see if they can get the tattoo to match with the markings. I know someone like a racing secretary has access to the description on the foal papers. Can do this, is anyone here a racing secretary? I feel so DUMB! I never questioned...

I did call the JC, they are working to figure out this mare. To my memory, her tattoo number was T25595, I memorized it! I was in love with her she was my first horse ever! T25595 was Tudor Zephyrean who had NO white markings, My mare has markings so someone would have to play with these numbers. Ma...

NEED YOUR HELP!!! BIG PROBLEM!

Let me explain.......... When I was 17 (2001), I got my first show horse, a bay TB mare. I was told her name Tudor Zephyrean, but no papers were with her. So the old mare gets EPM in 2003 and she retires as a broodmare who I just pay bills on till she died in Jan. 2008. The EPM was showing si...
