We are watching an old Fred A movie and seeing how thin and long legged he was and thinking about the only Fred A filly that I have seen who was refined and long legged, I was wondering was Fred, the stallion a refined long legged horse? I wish they made more fun movies like this one today.

Sorry this is OT. Fred A (the human) owned some nice horses, including Triplicate, a top CA handicap horse of the 40's.

Astaire the dancer was also married to Robyn Smith, a successful pioneering female jockey almost 45 years his junior. She'd ridden for Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, owner-breeder of Native Dancer, among others.

I have a FA mare, she is built like a tank. About as far from long legged and refined as you can get. The vet was sure she was a quarter horse when he saw her for the first time. Big time type A personality also.
