We have the date, June 5, 2010 in San Marcos, TX at the Hays Civic Center. This show has really grown, I have to say, I am blown away by the support I have gotten by putting on what started as a small show.
We have moved this year to an enclosed facility with Misters and a/c (it gets HOT in TX in June!). We have tons of room for Silent Auction and Garage Sale items!
If you would like to donate something for the online auction or have horse related items for the garage sale, please email me at [email protected].
Lynn also has her new book out, Beyond the Homestretch, which is available at Amazon and proceeds go to the horses.
Thanks for all of your support in the past, and continued support. I will let you know when the silent auction is up, I don't think they plan on putting it on line until May.

That's great -- is it TB only or a general horse show?
The rescue I volunteer for sometimes has a show every year - it is a great way to raise money in a fun way and for a far-flung group of people who may see more of the horses than each other to work as a team.
I just put a review of Beyond the Homestretch in my blog last week. Maybe I'll be willing to part with my copy as a raffle prize at our next show. Or not. I really enjoyed reading it.

Thanks Monica, it is an all breed show with the 100% of the profit going to LOPE.
This show is actually put on by a bunch of friends who chat on an on line horse board. www.texashorseenthusiasts.com we started 5 years ago and always wanted the profits to go to a horse based non profit. The first few years we had a rescue, they went under thanks to the economy, and then we decided that LOPE would be who we had the shows for.
The community and sponsors have really stepped up over the years. We're glad to be able to help.
People from this board have suppored the on line auction and sent donations that are unbelievable. We appreciate everyone here!

ETA: oops, the Zenyatta info was obviously meant for another thread!
From the Wikipedia entry for Zenyatta Mondatta:
Copeland has claimed that the group arrived at the album's title after deciding it should roll off the tongue. Rejected titles included Caprido Von Renislam (referring to the street where the studio was located) and Trimondo Blondomina (suggesting three blonds dominating the world). Zenyatta Mondatta are invented portmanteau words, hinting at Zen, at Jomo Kenyatta, at the French word for the world ("le monde") and at Reggatta, from the previous album's name, Regatta de Blanc.
“ "It means everything," [Copeland] yelled back. "It's the same explanation that applies to the last two. It doesn’t have a specific meaning like ‘Police Brutality’ or ‘Police Arrest’, or anything predictable like that. Being vague it says a lot more. You can interpret it in a lot of different ways. It’s not an attempt to be mysterious, just syllables that sound good together, like the sound of a melody that has no words at all has a meaning."
... Stewart listed some of the rejected titles they had come up with. "Miles (Stewart’s brother and group manager) came up with "Trimondo Blondomina". Very subtle. Geddit? Like three blondes and the world. Then somebody thought of "Caprido Von Renislam". That rolls off the tongue. It was the address of the studio. That lasted until next morning."[3]
”
Jerry Moss, the "M" in A&M Records, named a very successful filly race horse Zenyatta (b. 2004) in honor of this album.[4]
