Looking for a trainer that will take half

Postby CS » Sat Mar 13, 2010 5:37 pm

I am now settled in at my new job in Missouri. With the move I cannot race my filly myself. If anyone knows of a trainer they trust that would be willing to race her for half of her (she has a nice female family and future BM value) please PM me.

Thanks! It was a big move, but hopefully it will be worth it. Where are you - I am in Farmington, about 80 miles South of St Louis.

I think you are going to have a tough time finding someone to take a baby if you gave them the whole thing. By saying baby I mean something that isn't ready to run today. You might have to look for plan B.

And thats coming from a trainer. Might have a better shot of paying some money for day rate and offering a trainer a bigger percentage. Even at that, the horse will need to be close to running.

dido

you can buy 100% of well bred 2 YO in training for less than it's going to cost to get a newby ready for it's first race.

I understand well the economics of racing - I just thought I'd post and see if anyone was interested. She is 3 and has already spent time at the track.
