Jordan,
To post your pics...
go to http://webshots.com. Sign up for a free account. Upload your pics. Post the link to them here.
You can't post a link that isn't published on the web. I believe you can upload pics but they have to be a certain size. Sam probably knows best how to explain that process.
For contact info on the breeder of your filly, follow this link to the name Kerry Rathka. Per the Jockey Club, DNA Report was Pending. She/He is your best chance for an answer on DNA and registration. Since the registration was "pending", maybe the earlier fees still stand.

REPORT BACK to us, whatever you find out. Good luck!
Here, also is a link from the Jockey Club detailing how to do DNA Sampling https://www.equineline.com/registry.cfm ... N=46962349

[quote="magic code"]Assuming your filly is the 2003 out of Pie Rise, she was bred by Ricci Rathka. So I may have been wrong IN THIS CASE about Steven Peterson.
[quote]
You seem very keen on sharing information about various people over the internet...on this board, and I believe the one I moderate as well.
Note that Steven Peterson NEVER owned this mare, but you still relish the opportunity to flog him publicly. I find it interesting how you never leave your own name, but like giving out other's details...why is this?

Call the glass 1/2 empty. They don't keep a log of TBs that go on the truck.. I'm happy you seem to think we have all the answers. However we are just a public forum.
And just a silly question.. Why didnt you find out the info you need before you purchased (or were given) this horse??
Is she in Alex's book for 07' yet?

Here's the skinny, served up with sugar sprinkles :
It sounds like you have a relationship with Scottie Johnson, since you said you got this filly from the owner of Cross Country Ranch (which is Scottie). Scottie is a wonderful, kind person. You are lucky to have the opportunity to get to know someone who has experience in several facets of the TB industry.
Even if Pie Rise was still with us (which I don't know, but I know Scottie would never mislead anyone) and even if you had all the genetic information, stallion service certificate, etc. the cross of Abstract and Pie Rise would never be an acceptable cross to go to Afleet Alex. Not to mention his cost if you could. So, no matter how much any of us would like it to happen, that filly can not go to Alex. But my point is a bit bigger than that...
You have a great opportunity, as a young lady, to glean a lot of knowledge from Scottie. You should plan to let the "big dreams" set aside a while and learn about thoroughbred breeding. You should study up on your new filly's pedigree, you should work with her and help her to be a good saddle horse, too. But don't waste this nice chance to really, really, learn something about breeding. It could help you for the rest of your life. Instead of people on message boards poking fun at you, they might one day be congratulating you on your first win as a breeder, and all the successes that come thereafter.
This could be the chance for you to turn over a new leaf...on this message board, and in your life. I hope you do it! You are obviously very enthusiastic, and now that enthusiasm just needs to be directed to a positive place.
Why don't you give Scottie a call and see if she could use your help around the farm? You will learn a lot and be a better person for it.
I doubt very much that the instigator of this thread could afford to breed a mare to Afleet Alex in 2007 given the high correlation between grammatical simplism and an absence of large amounts of money.

Betcha if you call the number listed for Kerry Rathka, you'll find out how to reach Ricci Rathka. Or...you could keep expecting us to pull rabbits out of our hats for you.

It's available, accessible information, Michael. Steven Peterson was the last owner of:
Montibel
Prospect Glory Be
Special Charity
Hana Bride
Intercat
Final Flurry
and
Lady of Arathorn
prior to them being sold to a kill buyer. (Note: none of the above went to slaughter).
Additionally, he once owned a mare named One for the Sea - a mare whose last foal was also bred by Mrs. Ricci Rathka. Wonder where that mare ended up?
Edited to add: Jordan, this post is not meant for you. Good luck with your search.
