Postby Tebosmyman » Thu Nov 11, 2004 12:24 pm

Hi I own a Thoroughbred gelding named Doctor TBO or "Tebo" i was wondering if anyone could find some information about his history for me...i dont have a registered Pedigree Query account so im asking for your help. If anyone can help me i'd greatly appriciate it....any info will help.
Looking for, how much money he won (if any)

Hi

Doctor T.B.O. started 85 times, with a record of 17 wins (13 on the turf), 14 seconds, and 18 thirds. He earned $166,443. He was stakes placed (in minor stakes events) at age 8 and 10. He was a $4200 OBS Winter Sale yearling. Tough old guy!

Well, if that's how its spelled, you can find Doctor T.B.O. on the Pedigree Query, he was born in 1987 out of foxy Dancer by Exuberant, but you can look for yersef! :D

Please tell me he's sound enough still to make a sport horse. Mary Syers

Mary,

A good set of x-rays and a vet exam would better tell you that. Is this YOUR horse?

No, he's not mine, but he has the pedigree of a sporthorse. I hope whoever has him gives him the chance when he's done on the track. We've taken a couple of off the track TB's cross country, and rider and horse both had alot of fun and some success. So many of the modern TB's do not have the legs for distance over fences. Thank you so much, yes Tebo has found a good home and I have been using him for Dressage mainly and 3 foot fences. He's doing awesome at the age of 17. :D Anyways that'd be great if I could get some old photos of him or if anyone could get even more information. I love finding out his history...there's so much that I never knew. Thanks for all of your help
Love,
Nat and Tebo

Good luck with the old fellow, he deserves a good home and some fun too after trying so hard. It always seems a shame to me that the best use of our distance bred TB's is eventing. Maybe the crosscountry people will preserve some of those bloodlines in this speed mad world. Mary Syers

Just had to throw this in. Duck Dance, I'm pretty positive, sired Merganser, a QH that won the All-American futurity and had earnings of well over a million.
