Anyone had calls from Dubai about horses you have for sale?

Sorry I missed the whole fax pictures part of the message. That would make me suspicious too. Why cant you email pictures? But I will admit I usually could care less about pictures when I buy.

When I was in MD a couple of gentlemen from Hong Kong ( or there abouts) buying up $5,000 horses to send back. We wondered the same as you , but they were there and their money was good.

Check him out completely before you do anything. Ask for his credientals etc.

another concern might be that if its a con ... they make want the pictures to post and "sell" your horse to other people.

A friend who breeds jack russells had someone ask her for emailed and maile pics and that person started posting online selling the pups (although he had no pups, only my friend's pics!)

Oh, please! NO ONE would ever need account or routing numbers on a first inquiry. This has got to be a scam. Someone (perhaps in Dubai, perhaps in New York City) probably got a hold of a consignor's list from previous auctions and contacted each buyer hoping someone would bite.

This is not a scam. The horse sold and everything is going smoothly so far.
I was skeptical.

The colt ships to KY and then meets up with the others (4 or 6) purchased and then they go to Kuwait.

I will post more when I know it..

Its a scam, just not for her. The guy buying a 5 thousand dollar horse for 50-100k is the one getting scammed.

I've heard lots of good advice but, I've dealt with this gentleman all spring and it's been nothing but a pleasure. Naturally I have excellent resourses and double checked them before going forward.

Rashed is a trainer, formerly a breeder. What I liked when I dug deeper was finding that he has some nice older horses that still run in class races..

For fun you can check the recent Tattersals Sale results...he purchased 8 lots there.

It's a sad world we live in today but, sometimes we can get a pleasant surprise.

I sincerely hope I was wrong, Karie. Since you work in a police station, I guess you went through all the steps. I probably would have hung up on the man and never known I'd lost a sale.
