As fate would have it, I was sitting at my desk today. I have a "I Love Maryland Racing" bumpersticker pinned up on one of the cube walls.
I was engrossed in something when I hear:
"M'am, m'am...do you like horse racing?"
"I sure do."
"Did you watch the Breeder's Cup this weekend?"
"Yes I did."
"My horse didn't win...I liked Hard Spun all season."
"I went to the Preakness this year...saw all the big three. Awesome. Has Darley bought Curlin yet?"
"No, but we won't get to see Hard Spun anymore."
"Yeah. He's off to make little Hard Spuns..."
A construction guy working in our office spotted the bumpersticker. It was the coolest coversation I had all day...sweet!
