My condolences and sympathies Henthorn. He made great sacrifices and died serving his country, which we all should be thankful for. He is nothing but a hero. We all mourn your loss, but appreciate his service to us all. It is people like your nephew who have let us have the luxury to chat on boards about horses. Let us be thankful to them all.

God Bless and Godspeed to him.

Heartfelt condolences. We fight today so that our children and grandchildren will have a safer place to live and grow. In spite of the insurgents and terrorists and let's call them what they are, thugs. Freedom is creeping forward everywhere inch by inch. It won't happen overnight, but it's coming. I'm very proud that my husband's been a part of the changes taking place, as he's served in Bosnia and Afghanistan, helping to design the new governmental structures. I know firsthand the underlying fear of having your loved one in dangerous circumstances, but when you consider it, these fledgling governments are no different than our American forebears who served in the first continental congress, declaring War on England, writing our Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and Constitution. They too, put their lives, livelihoods and families on the line and many lost all. It's unfortunate that all the news is centered on the extremeists and not the average citizens who are definitely greatful that the future holds hope for them. I believe they've spoken volumes with the voter turnout in spite of the threats of violence, beheadings and threats to their lives. Kind of a sad commentary on the poor voter turnout here in the states, where we take these freedoms for granted and people just don't bother to go to the polls to vote, isnt it? I have a tremendous amount of respect for our servicemen and women and for all those brave people fighting for a new tomorrow for their country and am proud of each and every one of them.

After spending more than 20 years as the wife of a soldier (now retired), who served 7 missions overseas, I understand your loss and feel your pain. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

Henthorn, could you please give all of us a charity,or something, so we can contribute? If not, could we do something in his name? I know the VA Hospitals are always grateful for books, magazine subscriptions and such, and www.soldiersangels.com is also always grateful for donations. Please let us know.

He leaves behind his parents, sisters, ex-wives, and three children age three, six and seven. My mother-in-law, who is 82, called me to notify us that her oldest grandson was killed; so she had the unhappy task of notifying her younger sons and daughters, and her oldest son could spend time with the boy's mother privately today. Sad news indeed.

Jeffrey Stuart Henthorn, a hero and protector of us all...Keep his family strong and please let them know how grateful we all are for his incredible contributions and so very saddened and humbled by his ultimate sacrifice.

Soar with the Angels Jeffrey Stuart Henthorn.

My deepest condolences to you and your family Henthorn.
