The pit bull was used in the military in the 20's and 30's one of the most common breeds used then. For their loyalty and courage.

and why not now??

I toured the military dog training facility at Lackland AFB when i was a cadet and asked why there were no pitbulls in training; i.e., they to me seemed like good canidates.. The answer was all dog breeds have individuals that are not suitable for use as police or military dogs and tests have been devised to identify and weed out those individuals..

Those tests are not successful in identifying individual unfit pitbulls and the incidents of those few unfit individuals turning on their handlers could not be tolerated..

I have no doubt that most pitbulls make good family pets but if the militray professionals can not determine which ones will go bad how can you ?

Griff,
You may add whatever links you like to your signature text. People add links usually to advertise or further a cause they feel passionate about.
You do realize now they were not part of the message regarding her actual knowledge of match racing?
Please PM me if you have any questions about adding to or changing your profile page.
Regards,
Diane

I've heard of backyard match races here in Michigan held by mexicans/hispanics. I haven't seen it, but they have called me before looking for young horses to do this with when I had young tbs advertised online.

Oh Griff.
When you want to politely discuss pit bulls and their uses.. and be current let me know via pm or in the off topic. I am well armed and current.

Close the borders and enforce the immigration laws and the problem is solved.

( While my child is playing with my laptop)
Speaking of borders-- and Illegal immigration.
I have a friend that has been delayed in coming back to the U.S. from Canada for Six years. All because she tried to come back with too many christmas presents. For Six years the husband who is a U.s. Citizen and so is she.
However we have on the southside, many illegals coming over to work.
Yet we can't bring our citizens home. I know the family personally.
Anyways, Match races all over the place. It's hard to stop them, because they have to be caught in the act. And when the D.A. gets the charges or tries to charge, they will be dropped if they don't quit.
Not alot of counties want to waste tax payers money by taking these people to court. I would like to see hefty fines, and jail too too. But Pay up.!
Or give the money to a horse retirement place- not gonna happen but it's a thought.

How can American citizens being denied entry into their own country? that sounds farfetched, unless they had renounced their American citizenship.
