Now that Island Whirl is retired from his long career at stud, his son Island Storm, standing in Michigan, is one of the last stallions representative of the Blue Peter/Fairway branch of the Phalaris sireline at stud, at least here in the US. While the Phalaris sireline is so predominant today as to be impossible to avoid in most pedigrees the lack of repeated Native Dancer or any Northern Dancer in Island Whirl's pedigree might make his daughters attractive for those seeking to reinvigorate the Phalaris genes without multiplying the strains to Native Dancer.
Island Storm's pedigree also carries sex balanced inbreeding to Ambiorix.

So far as I know, My Memoirs (GB) is still serving mares in Colorado and is one of the few, if not the only active Byerly Turk (through Ahonoora) thoroughbred sire left in the US.

I say thoroughbred because the Cutter Bill QH line is also Byerly Turk, as are a few other QH lines that are still going strong.

There's another of Don't Forget Me's sons - Eastern Memories - in TX, and Gold Saga (Sagace) in WA. Also, Legal Jousting (Indian Ridge) is just across the border in Ont.

Another of Island Whirl's sons, Manahawkin, offers the same advantage. He's half to Skip Away, & stands at Folly Lane, FL. Not sure how many TB covers he's made - they're mainly sport horse & that's how he's marketed.

Have to say that photo of Manahawkin on this site is great - I really love the "moment" of it vs. the typical 'set up' conformational photo!

Hallo,
a son of Super Concorde stands here in Germany, his name is Big Shuffle (Super Concorde - Raise Your Skirts vy Elevation).
He is free of ND, Mr. Prospector etc., I'm really wondereing, why no Americanbreeder had picked him up.
Opposite to many Americanbred Sire imported to my Homecountry, he had a lot of good racing offspring. he already had sons at Stud, see for example Auenadler.

Best regards, Bettina

My purebred German Shepherd is crossed with a purebred Mule. She is very beautiful but I can not get her to rollover or sit or stay or nuthin'. I have tried to get her to listen in 12 languages; unfortunately I do not know German. :(

Now you can not argue with that. 'Tis very rare ;)

Here is a recent for sale ad for French Seventyfive. When I saw him on this site I remembered a few people talking about him.

Here are a couple that stand out:

NEUF DE COEUR, A 2000 COLT BY AFFIRMED, OUT OF AN ALYDAR MARE.

ANOTHER NEPHEW, horse, '98, sired by BLAIR'S COVE, who was produced by BUCKSPLASHER-Hey Heywahtaboutme (her dam was RELATED);

the dam, SHE'S YOUR AUNT (BUCKSPLASHER-RELATED). Pretty close up breeding.
