Shammy - FYI & FWIW: Please don't take offense to my post. I'd love to have you come to SHRP/join me there.
I myself am some of the 'riff-raff' that I was referring to. That comment was made tongue in cheek but my jocular tone didn't translate to internet texting PLUS I didn't see an emoticon/smiley on the left that really fit that mood)....yours in horses and torn tickets, always!

Not to worry. I've was joking. The older tracks like Pimilico, Parx, Suffolk Downs, Fairmount Park, et al all have a seedy side to their environs. I find it attractive and interesting. The weekday attendees are a different breed of gambler and they stand out for multiple reasons. Everyone else during the week is working.

SHRP must be doing something right, handle is up and they just increased purses $1000 per race. Looks like we're heading in the right direction!
