I doubt that would happen, simply because everything we've seen points to Silent Witness going up to a mile, whereas KJ takes about 8.5 just to get warmed up before closing like a freight train.

Silent Witness against Artie Schiller, perhaps.

Lei, they are suppose to be the top horses from 1200m to 1600m in Hong Kong. But one thing, just don't count this race. I can't really name any horses who can run this pace (57.5 in first 1000m) to finish 1400m except SILENT WITNESS, all other horses are just exhausted.

KAL, SILENT WITNESS is a big and muscled horse, I saw him at the track in his 16th win. He is not extremely big in dimension but he is muscular! He was already 1203 pounds at 3 in his first race and yesturday's race he was 1264 pounds.

I stand corrected.

I had no idea his weight was that heavy, he certainly didn't look that "thick" during the telecast. He looked to only be about 16 hands, is this correct?

I don't even think he's that tall (or he's so well put together, you don't notice it .. kind of like some of the Robertos)

He's got a MASSIVE chest. You could show a widescreen movie on it :D

Sam's been in love since 1993.

This is lust.

The good thing is he's a gelding which means I don't have to worry about trying to track foals in 5 years.

Male horses sire "Hinneys" which are not cool.

Now ... a Coalee McGee son out of Toussaud or Dance Smartly ... drool be still my heart.

In the meantime, I need to figure out how to get my hands on one of those Silent Witness hats without it costing me $30 in shipping fees on top of the $20 for the hat. Though .. I may just do that anyway.

Hey .. If I can buy a Bellamy Road hat (which looks damn good nestled in there with all my Yankees WS clubhouse hats) in support of the Boss' hoss, I can get a Silent Witness one too. :D

There's two up on ebay right now (along with a couple of HKJC produced DVDs of his wins through the 13th AND A STUFFED PONY! :D)

I think the openning bid is like $5, but when you read the shipping instructions, it's an additional $25.

OH MY GOD!!

THAT WAS INCREDIBLE!

JESUS!

That was better than sex

That horse is amazing!

I'm still in shock.

WOW .. just ... wow.

For our Aussie buds .. I see Elvis is in the next race ... good luck.

I'm gonna go watch this race a few more times though.

Where the heck is my thudding emoticon?

Would you like to watch all his races? Go here and scroll down to where it says "Race Replays". They're in English, by the English-speaking (he's actually Australian) race caller at Sha Tin:

I've seen in more than one place where people have said that he looks like an ordinary-sized horse. But when I started watching his races I would connect to the Sha Tin racetrack live audio and listen to the English-speaking analysts while waiting for his race to come around, and just for fun I started looking at the entire card for the day of his race. The Hong Hong Jockey Club lists the weights of all the horses in the fields, and whether they've gained or lost weight since their last race. Silent Witness had gained 11 lbs. since his last race, and he was also the 2nd heftiest horse in the entire card, with one other weighing about 10 lbs. more. SW is a whopper!

It's absolutely amazing for any horse, but especially a sprinter, to go on a streak like that. If you look back at every Breeders Cup Sprint winner in history, only the first one, Eillo, and the filly Safely Kept won as many as 2/3rds of their career starts. Sprinters just don't go on that sort of streak in this country. Unbelievable, really.
