Auctions with Mares in-foal to Afleet Alex

Don't you get it.. people are just humoring you.. Grow up, get into a good college, and plan for a future later o in TB breeding. You're 13.. (I think thats what you said). Aren't you interested in girls yet, not broodmares.. Why Afleet Alex?? Why now?? You're in Oregon. TB breeding is not a #1 priority in that state. It really shouldn't be to a 13 year old either.

We all have things we dream about - our wish lists - Jordan. What you need to realize is that, while dreams are fine, they have to be tempered by goals, attainable goals.
Pure fact - there is no way that you are going to be able to raise $250,000 to buy this mare. Not even if you get a job. It's a dream, an "I wish" game.
But, you can set an attainable goal. You can get a job, save your money, and buy a nice $1,000 mare. And, they are out there. They come off of the track every day. Just keep your eyes open.
You see, the thing about goals is that, after you have met one, you can set another, and another, and another. Then, maybe, someday, that $250,000 mare can be a goal, not a dream.
But, you have to work for it. It isn't just going to fall into your lap. And, every day you torture yourself with unattainable dreams is another day that you have not worked towards your attainable goal.

Silly rabbit. Lottery tickets are like $1.00. Much cheaper than a college education and computer training.
Clearly we're gonna have to come up with a financial plan. Jordan would be better off making a little short term money by getting 10 people to give him $5.00 each toward his cause (rather than a free half of a the foal of 250K mare) giving him $50. Then, since he can't go to work for Microsoft due to child labor laws, for $24.34 as of today he can have a long term goal of riches by purchasing one share and have a short term goal where he buys $10 in lottery tickets and uses the rest to play the nickle slots. I"ll assume he's able to maximize his skills of persuasion, bum a penny from someone, then exchange it to get that last full nickle in the machine.

Wait a minute there Heidi....Jordan may be able to buy lottery ticket's...not sure, maybe at a convenience store, (only the liquor store's sell them around here). He dang sure can't play the slot's. HE'S THIRTEEN!!
Can't get a job at the burger place. About the only thing he can do to earn money is beg on a street corner or farm labor. LOL I remember my kid's when they were that age...I had to hire them! and fire them for being lazy, sloppy and making poor grades. Life suck's for thirteen year old's when they have big dream's and want, want, want.
Wonder when school start's (she say's in a whiney voice)?

Laissez les bon temps rouller!
I rarely post, but this is one of the funniest threads I have read on this board. I really think its funny, does that make me a bad person?
Jordan, Sim games might be a GREAT option. You could "own" as many mares bred to Afleet Alex as you want, and race them! Who knows they might win. Also, the girls playing sim games would go crazy for a boy to play with them.
PS if someone finds a job for 250k, please do let me know where to send the resume.

Crap, forgot about the age limit on the gambling in casinos...but hey, if he can find a friend who would give him 250K if he had it, maybe that same friend can go in there with the bucket o' nickles trying to do a good deed. Actually one of us would probably be asked to go do it for him if the previous track record holds true.
PS. Great to hear from you Wildcat. I normally wouldn't be all for dampening someone's dreams but if we wanna do Jordan any favors, we have to be educational, not delusional. He could be a big owner one day if he applied himself the right way. Chris McCarron's North American Riding Academy's gonna open up courses to more than just jockey hopefuls...maybe Jordan can get prepped for a couple years and apply. They take kids in high school. You get not just riding experience but seminars in physiology and breeding to make for a well-rounded rider or in the future trainer according to Chris's online chat.

Hahah, good call. I did not intend for it to be anything but G rated, oops.
Yes that's exactly it. Sam's concerned that the thread's being too harsh and mature in content for Jordan.
As long as nobody calls anybody else a doo doo head I think we're ok on content requirements per the message board Terms of Service. Remember you get to say the F word a couple times before it's R rated in movies. I wonder what the FCC policy is on message board posts...

Must be tall enough to see over this bar ============= to be a troll.
Jordan,
You've gone from being an intriguing young future horseman to being a real pain in a horse's A__!
I think until you mature a little and take people's time and input a little more seriously, you should be banned to the children's room. I think a note to your parents asking them to exercise a bit more control over you is in order
