Joe: I did not race Omi, but she was a fine horse. Here's her race record:
OMI, by Wild Again. 7 wins, 3 to 5, $319,718, Arlington Matron H. [G3], Relaxing H. [R] (GP, $30,630), Bayakoa S. (OP, $24,000), 2nd Falls City H. [G3], Long Look Breeders’ Cup H. [G3], Charon H. [R] (GP, $10,460).
Her foals have done well in the auction ring too:
Dam of 4 foals of racing age, including a 2-year-old of 2004, three to race, 2 winners-Distinction (c. by Seattle Slew). 3 wins at 4, 2003, $78,058. Grand Destiny (f. by Gone West). Winner at 3, placed at 4, 2004, $32,742.
Distinction was a 4.2 million dollar yearling sale!
Hopefully my filly will have a bit of what her Dam and Second Dam (Flying Heat) had!
