Mood Swings, I thought I had written here as your post struck such a strong chord with me. We lost our mare last June and the heartache was almost unbearable.
It is always a risk in breeding, but somehow you don't expect it to hit home. We still have our filly. In that, we were more fortunate.
I wish you peace and heartsease, as soon as ever possible.
