Very nice and understandable information on Bay/Black interactions from Nerd. Well done.

The only thing I'd like to mention is that living at the same address as the bay/black genes are two other players. Seal Brown, and Wild Bay, with Bay being the most dominant.

So the potential combinations would be:

Bay/Bay
Bay/Black
Bay/Seal Brown
Bay/Wild Bay

Black/Black
Black/Seal Brown
Black/Wild Bay

Seal Brown/Seal Brown
Seal Brown/Wild Bay

Wild Bay/Wild Bay

I'm wondering if some of the horses that are difficult to figure out (are they bay or are they black) may be carrying one of each color genes. A bay and a seal brown for example or a black and a seal brown.

Sort of an incomplete dominant or slight dilution. There seem to be a couple of very mild dilution genes that work on Chestnut, that seem to be involved in creating shades.
