"Linda in TX" has passed away

Postby tbbreeder » Mon Jul 17, 2006 7:18 pm

Late this afternoon I was notified that Linda Waters passed away unexpectedly, yesterday, Sunday the 16th. She had severe allergies and Asthma and this time she didn't beat the attack.

I don't know anything about possible Service details. If I get them, I will share them with anyone sending me a PM.

Not everyone agreed with Linda, but she was a loyal friend, a dedicated worker and a wonderful teacher. She found Louis Arthur and helped the deal happen. She has helped numerous others find nice horses that met their needs. She has defended the defenseless against the outrageous and stupid where she believed it to be. She was never shy about voicing her opinion. She pissed me off, made me laugh and taught me much. She was my very dear friend. I loved her alot.

She has left an enormous hole in my heart and in my life and all I can do is honor her to the best of my ability. I hope I'm worthy of the task.

I'm too new here to have had the honor of agreeing -- or arguing -- with Linda from TX, but I'm very sorry for the loss of a friend of the board -- please pass along my sympathies.

OMG! I am so sorry...I will miss her too!

I had many wonderful PM's with her about breeding! She was so good at seeing the diamond in the rough. We were both intrigued by Ice Age and Icecapade. And yes...we had a few bouts and disagreements too, but mostly really enjoyable and enlightening talks.

I can't believe this! :( I was just thinking about her today! I didn't have time to follow up on our last discussion and I'd found an old PM from her last night. OMG...no day is promised to anyone :(

My heartfelt condolences to you Vikki, and to Linda's family and friends.

Respectfully,
BJ

Thank you, BJ.

You're right. She had such an incredible eye for that diamond and she could just as equally point out the one that really nothing more than CZ. Her ability to spot patterns and equivalents in a pedigree astounded me. I'm so glad I have virtually every post we ever exchanged in the past 3 years (I hate hitting the delete button when someone is trying to teach me something) and I just hope all her insights and efforts won't be lost.

My condolences to you and the void she will leave you and others, as well.

Vikki

So sorry to hear the news. She was very helpful to me with requests for information...hard to believe she's gone...my prayers are with her loved ones.
