I'm intersted to know what the markup on something like this is that you can offer a guarntee of no monthly expenses or future investment - what if one colics, needs extensive vet work, etc. Or are you just gambling on a gain

I only ask as I am looking into doing something similiar (on a much smaller scale) in the south central part of the state and I can't get by monthly fees even though the mares will stay on my farm.

Partnership is selling shares of a group of mares in foal and not simply selling mares to the partners. Partnership/Corporate structure is planned from the conception of the program. these are all inclusive programs that are funded initially by the investors but it is also on my back to do my very best to insure a minimum return to the partnership for maintenance and service fees year by year. These are three year partnership as the mares are over 12. The partnership is fully liquidated at that time for final distribution to the shareholders but thanks to the Pabred programs the checks come in to the partnership for years to come.
