Does anyone have info on a mare named Carlinia Kim?
Allegedly, her sire is Looks Good To Me and her dam is Kim's Sun Dancer. I don't find her in the database, however.
She is for sale here in Florida. She is a good-looking chestnut mare with 4 high white stockings and a nice blaze. Was wanting pedigree info.

uh oh Maven your getting mixed up with me...bad news lmao!!!
I like her, but hell I like any horse that is a break from your normal run of the mill solid color. I now have to peek at her ped too, though Mav is the one who would know most.
What are they asking for her?? She sort of looks like a chestnut version of my as of the moment strawberry roan grey filly...cool.

trying to come up with something brillant..... this may take a while.
Oops, my bad!! Sowwy Maven!!
Owners are asking $2800, but I am confident they'd take less. They say she rides nicely and are selling her as a riding horse, as opposed to a broodmare, and if memory serves, she is unraced.
I'm in love with her stockings!

hahahaha!!! I'm not alone.... I was thinking I might have a "stocking" fetish!! lmao So I take it she was not bred to race or they tried her in training and nothing sparked. I would love to see side shots of her as I think she appears to be a nicely put together horse.
Also I see you could cross her to your perlino and perhaps pop out a palo with a lot of chrome..... (just can't escape those western word euphemisms) or perhaps there is a stallion line that she would fare well to be bred for a racing foal. She looks leggy, how tall?

The ad says 16.1, and 5yo. It's on Horsetopia, Ad #250804. There are several photos there.
I was thinking of a flashy appendix too!
My stallion has rear stockings, albeit invisible ones, and most of his foals have gotten both of them. I think with a heavily stockinged mare, like this one, the resultant foal would be very chrome-laden!!
They've also lowered her price to $2300 now. .......
I think I'll wait just a leeeetle longer.

Horse Description
"Carlinia Kim" - 16.1HH, 5 Year Old, Chestnut Thoroughbred Mare, All the chrome with a perfect blaze and four high white socks! Quiet and Sweet. This young girl is so patient, willing to learn and steady that she will probably be ''grandma safe'' by the time she is finished. She is green broke at this time but she is starting on her 60 days training and her price will increase accordingly. She would make a very pretty show-horse or a super broodmare. Will make a lovely dressage horse, too. Her markings are PERFECT! She has no soundness issues. This type of mind and eagerness to learn and please makes this doll worth her weight in gold. Definitely would make a super family horse later on in her career. A horse as beautiful as Sundance (inside and out) comes along once in a lifetime. She will definitely give anything the good old ''college try''. She has loaded in my trailer without a problem, faced a small cavaletti cautiously but willingly. She is Jockey Club Registered. She was prepped for the racetrack but never ran.
This will be a very, VERY, reluctant sale and only to an approved home. As her training as continued, Sundance has excelled. She is extremely steady, safe and comfortable. I have had novice riders on her, and she remains patient and forgiving. She has not spooked at anything since I have had her, even motorcycles without mufflers on their exhausts or cars backfiring (she had a rider on her when both of this situations occured and she did not miss a step). She loves being groomed and pampered, she stands for vet, farrier, grooming and bathing. You will never have to guess when she is in heat because she makes that extremely obvious - but she can still be ridden and she will pay attention during these times. She is not marish at ALL! I have never seen this beauty pin her ears. Absolutely no bite, kick, buck or rear in her. She has never attempted to bolt either. I cannot say enough about this incredible horse. She is perfect for any level rider, most disciplines (although speed is not her greatest asset - she is far too laid back and relaxed for that!), she will most likely make an exceptional broodmare. She is one of the calmest youngsters I have ever come across and extremely quiet to handle. If you have been holding out for your dreamhorse, Sundance is probably the answer!
She is up to date on her vaccinations with negative coggins, dental, farrier and worming.
Can transport within the state of Florida at the rate of $1.75/Mile.
Will only sell Sundance to the perfect home, where she will be guaranteed love, excellent care and attention. Videos and photos available for serious buyers only. Sundance is sold with a contract that states if the relationship with the horse does not work out, the horse will be sold back to Horses in Harmony. Sundance's welfare will remain paramount for the rest of her years. For more information, photos and video, please email!
**Update: Due to an influx of rescue horses, we have drastically reduced Sundance's asking price for a faster sale. The proceeds from her sale will go directly toward medical, feed and farrier bills for the rescue horses that have just been brought in ***
SALE PRICE: $5,000
I can't believe her owner had her for sale for $2300, and she ends up at a freaking RESCUE that says they're drastically reducing her by $10k to $5k??? WTF?? Here is a link to the Craigs List ad that gives a link to the rescue site. There are several TB's there besides Carlinia, as well as some other warmblood-types. They all appear to be overpriced imho. Tsk.

I would seriously question if the seller is really a "rescue." I think a lot of folks play the "rescue" card to pull heartstrings and open pursestrings. The kind of people who support the fake "rescues" are probably the same ones who will pay to breed to The Green Monkey. More money than brains.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....
Ah Bondama don't get so shook up over youth,
. Remember the days when you were so sure of everything and were going to light the world on fire? I watched this young lady's video. She's got her heart in the right place she just needs a few more years of experience. A good trainer (she's not there yet) could have spent a few months on this mare and then sold her to a client for $5k. The chances of this young lady doing that are slim. Reality is this is a cute mare who was priced right at $2300. Hopefully reality will set in and an experienced rider will buy her and keep her for the rest of her life. I got a chuckle out of watching the video, it was like watching a chestnut version of my gray gelding when he hasn't been ridden.
