Unfortunately, this will almost certainly mean that Curlin will join the exodus to the breeding shed instead of racing on at four -- those new people are going to want their money (and the lawyers even more so), and once the horse sells for eight figures, whoever gets him probably won't want to pay the insurance premiums to keep him running. Only hope of seeing him at the track next year is if Jackson and Sanan buy out the plaintiffs' interest and the lawyers will certainly want that option priced as high as possible.
