CANZONETTE (foaled circa 1879) trying to fill this pedigre

Postby Jorge » Sun Jan 13, 2008 10:50 am

Dear Collaborators,

I am looking and trying to complete here the pedigree of a Thoroughbred equine named CANZONETTE (foaled circa 1879).

He (or she) ran in the 1883 edition of the Innkeepers Selling Plate, at Lanark. This equine sported a big blaze and can be seen on page 412 of the December 17, 1938, edition of The Thoroughbred Record.

Thanks in advance for any assistance in completing this interesting sabino case.

All the Best,

Canzonette

She was a c. f. foaled in 1879 by Distin out of Proficient (1870 b. f. by Lecturer) out of Lady of the Lake (1857 f. by King Tom) out of the Incurable (by The Cure). She was bred in England by Mr. J. G. Watkins.

Canzonette was later named Euterpe and was sent to Germany in 1884.

Bollin Zola,

Thank you so much for the valuable assistance. If possible, how did you came across this case?
Great! Thanks again!

She is registered in the GSB volume 14 page 211 (second edition).

I made a slight error in my previous post. She was originally named Euterpe and later renamed Canzonette (which should make her progeny - if she had any - easier to find).
