Hollywood Pk. to close after next meet.
I heard today that HP is going to sell & close afterr their spring & summer meet. If that happens, it would add another ITW site at LAX airport. Red tape mst be delt with, as our govenor would have to grant approval.
Those without sin cast the first stone.

How fast will Santa Anita get sold once Frank Stronach kicks the bucket?
What synthetics are to California racing:

That is excellent - no more bullring. Watching racing at Pomona made me wince (as did watching horses run on Del Mar's new mess-of-a-track).
With Pomona's microclimate not being too different from Arcadia's, I hope with the CHRB synthetic track mandate that they don't experience similar woes to SA's current predicament.
I would hate to see Hollywood Park go, but this may be an even better solution. I could also see Del Mar's racing dates extended without a problem, since of all the So Cal tracks it has the best attendance. But they could benefit from a track fix as well.

why not just do what they do in florida.... Gulfstream 4 months, calder the rest.
Why keep moving around? let arcadia be, go to del mar, then go to the fair,t hen back to santa anita
another questn, why did they spend millions of dollars on a cushion track they are going to dig up in 1 year? doens't make sense. not saying it's not true.. lol, actually because it doesn't make sense I believe itt

hi zinn21...hi all
That's what I've been hearing too.
Continuing that thought...I'm hearing also, that ALL stops are being pulled-out (and no stone is being left unturned) by those (many) representing/looking-out for the interests (both short and long-term) of Hollywood Park (horseracing).
Respectfully
