well my namesake was a horse we owned in the 80's - he was a Standardbred pacer who ran at roosevelt raceway and yonkers raceway winning us alot of money, he was my pal and i called him shammy. His full name was Shamrock ore and i loved him very much. Thats how i have my name. I dont know about the "other shammy" maybe after Shammy Davis?
